Boxing for Fitness
No matter what anyone says , pro boxers are the fittest of all athletes. which is why Boxing for fitness is an awesome way to stay fit.
Tell me of any other sportsman who skip for 20 mins as a warm up!!. That’s about 3000 skips at least and most people can’t do 30 without puffing !!
So to train a bit like a boxer is a great idea if you want to get fit. Of course I’m not saying that you should skip for 20 minutes. You can start to do the same things to a lesser degree you’ll still get great results.
Boxers will do the road work ( jogging ) , body weight exercises ( push ups , burpees , jump squats , lunges ) .Of course an added bonus of these is they cost nothing . No gym membership required !!
Of course punching a bag will also provide great fat burning or hiring a trainer to hold pads. I must admit I have to chuckle when I see some PT’s holding mitts and stood still , just telling the client to punch!
Well don’t get me wrong , but I’m pretty certain that boxers move their legs and move around !!. They have to or they’ll get knocked out . So it makes sense for the trainer to move and get the client to move as well , this will triple their fitness.
Other benefits of boxing fo fitness include increased co ordination , balance, concentration, and strengthening. As well as all of this , it’s a great stress release !!!
So get the gloves on and punch away !!!
