Top 10 Traits of a Personal Trainer
Here are the next two of the top 10 traits of a Personal Trainer….
5. Listener – One of the most important attributes of being a good personal trainer is to become a great listener. Most personal trainers can’t resist talking about them self, this is not what the client either wants or needs, the client is the most important person in the room and they are paying a decent amount of money for it to be all about them. Too many trainers will talk about themselves too often and as a result will lose the client’s interest because it becomes boring to the client. The rot sets in and eventually the client will just stop.
6. Sense of Humour – As a Personal Trainer it is important to not take yourself too seriously. Clients may not like fitness as much as you so they may just want to come for a good time whilst they are getting fit. This also allows you to create a fun environment for their mind to be sidetracked off the hard work which is involved in a 30 or 40 minute session, thus giving them another reason to want to come to training to enjoy part of the full experience rather than just training.
So when you study cert 3 and 4 in fitness, the certificates allows you to train people to achieve their results, developing or building on these traits will allow you to become a successful personal trainer.
